Today, I am happy to tell you about my visit in Venice – (escaping Frankfurt shortly)

In the Arab, especially art world my nickname is always  – Princess J or Princess Justyna –

Venice is a place that you have to explore in so many ways. During my time in this city I was really impressed by the canals, the small streets, the architecture and the bridges, which are like an extremely colorful dream.

It seems like it would be a peaceful and lovely place, that you don’t want to leave. But anyway the streets have a lot of turns, twist and dead ends, so wear comfortable shoes.. The water bus is a good way to get along, so the locals do. If you are in a hurry or want to visit  spots that other tourists can’t reach use the water taxi but be aware as it is quite expensive… I had a good stay at Danieli Hotel from where I could see the Giorgio Island, the Grand Canal and Punta della Dogana. The hotel is located close to the famous Piazza San Marco where you can find high end shopping stores, a lot of cafes and museums. Its so romantical, even the movie ‘The tourist’ has been filmed in Hotel Danieli Anyway during Biennale .

You can find art exhibition everywhere, so use the opportunity to see as much as possible. I visited the preopening of  Palazzo Fortuny, where you can find art of Eduardo Chillida,Sandro Botticelli, Anish Kapoor,Alighiero Boetti and many others. I have attached a picture where I want to show you the architectural sculpture of Tomas Saraceno ,the art of Alighieri Boetti and me in front of the circle sculpture of Anish Kapoor or the Japanese work of Shuji Mukai .

Au revoir …
