Such a Cool Night at the Los Angeles Fashion Week

I got the opportunity to attend the Los Angeles Fashion Week this March and its invite-only opening event to have a peak into the upcoming fall and winter fashion. Los Angeles is the center of glamour and worldwide trends so it is always exciting to be around such inspiring designers and industry professionals from around the world. I had the chance to meet several interesting people between the presentations as fashion weeks are always a great networking affair between designers, experienced fashion writers, influencers and all other industry insiders.

On Friday night we saw two different but equally intriguingrunway shows open this season’s Los Angeles Fashion Week at the Petersen Automotive Museum. The LA-based WALTER COLLECTION took over the spotlight first with a luxurious presentation. The cohesive yet diverse color scheme—from soft peach colors to purples—was as sophisticated as expected from the designers. I also enjoyed how they played around with the different elegant materials and silhouettes that were all very flattering on the gorgeous models. One of my favorite pieces was an ombre colored strapless tulle gown—you can tell it was exquisite even if you just look at my photo! WALTER COLLECTION showed a great runway presentation to kick off the fashion week for sure.

After exchanging our thoughts and just catching up on life in the venue, we went back to our seats to enjoy Naeem Khan’s show. The New York based designer brought a different vibe to the runway. The darker and metal colors made me feel like we are already spending a chilly, chic but extravagant fall night on the East Coast. Naeem Khan’s collection includedsome heavier fabrics and nice metal-embellished details. And I loved how the animal prints kind of matches with my outfit of the day. J

The venue, the Petersen Automotive Museum was also pretty cool, they had so many amazing cars! Can’t wait to be back for more Los Angeles Fashion Week events for the next seasons!
